Laser-assisted 3D Photogrammetry Technology
With laser ranging as the core and 3D photogrammetry algorithm, the 3D size of a specific object can be calculated in a 2D photo. If the recognition algorithm (AI) of specific objects is added, the speed can be further accelerated and the convenience can be improved.
With the popularity of smart phones, cameras are recording every corner of life all the time. Through the lens and picture, both humans and machines can improve their knowledge and understanding of the surrounding environment. The technology of photogrammetry further gives information about the size of the screen space, making the image expand from the function of simple screen recording to the fields of measurement recording, machine vision and even AI, with a wide range of applications.
Our 3D photogrammetry algorithms were developed to calculate the three-dimensional size of a specific object in a 2D flat photo.
If the AI recognition algorithm for specific objects is added, the speed can be further accelerated and the convenience can be improved. Applications include indoor building space measurement, box volume measurement and so on.

To better understand how single-point Mini LiDAR can be used to develop applications, here we demonstrate a package dimension capture task at work with several Apps available in the market: our own Sizensor Device & App, the LiDAR Scanner 3D App and the Measure App running on iPhone and iPad.
